Hi, I'm Laurie Tarpey

Former CFO/COO → Executive & Team Coach for Finance & Accounting Leaders

I have spent my career leading finance and operations through growth, transition, and complexity.

I know what it feels like to sit at the table where decisions are made, to manage competing priorities, and to guide teams through uncertain moments.

My work now is an extension of that experience. I coach leaders to think clearly, lead with steadiness, and build the relationships that make strategy possible.

My Background

I have served as a CFO and COO leading organizations with more than one hundred million dollars in operations.

My work has included guiding mergers, navigating due diligence for a billion-dollar acquisition attempt, leading finance and HR teams, and partnering with boards and executive teams through periods of significant growth and change.

I have worked in the nonprofit, consulting, and public accounting sectors, which gives me a broad view of how strategy, people, and operational decisions come together in real time.

How I Work

My approach is practical and human. I listen closely, ask questions that uncover what is really happening, and help leaders see the patterns shaping their decisions and relationships.

I draw from decades of operational and financial experience, but also from the belief that clarity, emotional intelligence, and trust are at the heart of effective leadership.

My role is to help you see more clearly, decide more confidently, and lead in a way that brings people with you.

What I Believe

Leadership is not only about expertise. It is about how you show up for the people who rely on you and the clarity you bring to the work ahead.

When leaders grow in awareness, steadiness, and intention, the entire organization benefits. I work with people who are committed to that kind of growth.
